I found heaven on earth at QT Sydney.

I never really splurge on hotel rooms, purely because I am always out and about discovering the city, shopping, or out eating my way through the town and it seems unnecessary! But because I was only in Sydney for one night (and solo) I thought I would book myself into QT. 

I walked into my room and was literally floored. It was STUNNING and looked so much better than the photos, it was a whole lot bigger than I imagined too. It's glorious from every angle and such a pleasant place to be. 

I attended an event, and excitedly came back to my room desperate to order some room service, have a bath, and jump into the huge marshmallow bed. It was everything I thought it would be... The lady who took my dinner order was so nice and friendly on the phone, and even helped me out with breakfast (I already knew I would be getting breakfast in bed the next morning) as it wasn't on the room service menu, but she brought me one up from the cafe downstairs so in the morning I could call through. Both meals were fantastic, and I felt super relaxed eating them in my personal haven. 

Everyone working at QT was super helpful and all had big smiles, being in the service industry myself I appreciate when the level of service is this good. 

I wont say much more, I think my photos speak louder than words. But please, do yourself a favour and book yourself in at this incredible hotel. You won't regret it.

United we stand.

A week ago I flew up to Sydney to attend the United We Stand campaign launch hosted by Samantha Wills and Mount Franklin, in support of the McGrath foundation. It was such an amazing event to attend, very moving and inspiring. As women we need to be smart, strong, and supportive. That is what this cause/collection is about.

Jane McGrath was 31 when diagnosed with breast cancer, and was a warrioress when it came to determination to create the foundation and help others in need. Her legacy is what we celebrated and every time you buy a bottle of Mount Franklin or a Samantha Wills piece you are contributing to her dream that every woman with breast cancer would have their own nurse.

Harbour.

The whole time I was in Sydney last weekend, it rained. However, every time I would pull out the camera it stopped and the sun would shine. Lucky me!

Rain or shine, I had a great time! Some places I recommend if you're visiting soon are Reuben Hills, Gnome Cafe, O Organic Produce, Chefs Gallery, The Winery, Bread & Circus and Earth to Table.

Bondi Beach, baby.

I've just come home from a quick trip to Sydney over the long weekend. I was thrilled to be able to shoot this piece for Save The Last Pinker on Bondi Beach!

My blog is all about myself and Melbourne, however I love to travel whether it's near or far. Sydney stole a little piece of my heart this visit. I was so inspired by all the colours which seemed to follow me wherever I went... the art at the skatepark, jewel toned terrace houses, the moody blue sky and the flawless sand. 

Anyway, back to the jewellery... where to start! This stone changed my life. It draws out negative energy, invokes inner strength, draws out guilt and reverses destructive emotional programming, heals heartache, strengthens character and empowers feminine energy. 

I have always been into crystal healing, angels and tools such as oracle cards and so on, but after a relationship ending last year I really delved back into it in full force. And it was because of this stone, it found me and resonated with me more than any stone has before. 

When I first saw this ring, I almost fainted. My stars had alligned! I already had a huge chrysocolla ring, but this Pushmataaha piece really blew me away as it's simple, yet edgy, a statement piece that is not over the top, but holds it's own. 

The arrow symbolises aiming for your dreams. Something that speaks volumes to me right now. Never stop dreaming, but more importantly, never stop believing in yourself!
